New ONF appointments and officers

The Oklahoma Newspaper Foundation Board of Trustees recently elected its officers for 2021-2022 during its meeting on June 11. Maria Noble, publisher of the Oologah Lake Leader, was elected president for a one-year term. Cindy Allen, publisher of Enid News & Eagle, was elected vice president and Jeff Mayo, publisher of the Sequoyah County Times, was re-elected as treasurer. On June 11 the OPA Board of Directors appointed three new trustees, each to a three-year term. The new trustees are: Ray Dyer, editor at the El Reno Tribune, David Stringer, publisher at The Lawton Constitution, and Allen. Other trustees are Sheila Gay, Woodward News; John D. Montgomery, The Purcell Register; Jeff Shultz, retired; and Barb Walter, Kingfisher Times & Free Press. The current officers of the OPA Board of Directors also serve on the ONF Board of Trustees. They are John Denny Montgomery, The Purcell Register, and Mark Millsap, The Norman Transcript.
